Helen has worked for “rhubarb” since 1999. Originally headhunted from a managerial role at Admirable Crichton, Helen worked first as Office Manager, whipping the company’s organizational processes into shape as it was poised for take off. Since then, Helen has progressed through almost every single role in the company, except in the kitchen! She has completed stints as Finance Manager and General Manager, before joining the board in 2003 and becoming Retail Director in January 2009. This ground up experience within “rhubarb” means that Helen is one of the most knowledgeable team members, with a wealth of experience in all fields, including Operations, Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, Health and Safety, Purchasing and IT. In her current role as Retail Director she is responsible for developing all current and future “rhubarb” restaurant sites including Gallery Mess, Bond & Brook, “rhubarb” restaurant & bars, The Royal Albert Hall and American Airlines first and business class lounges.
