JR joined “rhubarb” in 2011. After studying Chemical Engineering at Birmingham University, JR spent a number of years working in technical sales and marketing roles in the water, precious metal and oil industries. It was JR’s passion for food though that led him to a major career change, launched by a six month Diploma course at Leith’s School of Food and Wine. After that a kitchen role at Alison Price led to more creative things and eventually a five-year stint at Create Food and Party Design.
JR’s watchword is “anything is possible” and he loves the challenge of creating a fabulous event in very little time (most recently setting up no less than 18 food stations in under two and half hours!). He always takes pride in ensuring that every tiny detail is considered and he is constantly on the look out for the most innovative ideas for creative food presentation, as he is of course tasked with keeping “rhubarb” cutting edge at all times.
