Laraine qualified as a Chartered Accountant aged 23. She then embarked on her working career as a music industry Management Accountant, specifically working for radio stations and record labels. In 2003 Laraine joined "rhubarb" as Financial Controller and she spent the next six years helping to plan, forecast and facilitate the financial side of “rhubarb’s” growth. Appointed to the Board as Financial Director in January 2009, Laraine is now responsible for the Financial Strategy of all group companies. As well as controlling day to day business transactions for the Group, she has been instrumental in “rhubarb’s revenue growth from £4 million to £30 million. She now heads up not only Finance (budgeting, forecasting and consolidated group management accounts) but IT and HR as well. Never one to take it easy, Laraine also gave birth to twin girls in June 2009! She now spends much of her time working closely with the Chairman and MD on company strategy.
