Gregg's background in catering started at an early age working at his father’s restaurant and bar in Soho, learning the basics of restaurant management and cooking.  After an early career in the creative industry he progressed into studio management and event planning for one of London's premier photographic companies. Gregg then moved to the South of France to run a small local restaurant.

On his return back to the UK, Gregg opened a restaurant, bar and private dining room in Sussex catering to the needs of residents and businesses attracting a local clientele from Goodwood, Cowdray, Brighton and Chichester. The private dining facilities attracted clients from London and across the South-East where weddings, birthdays and private dinners from 10 to 100 were catered for.

In 2005, Gregg returned to London and joined one of Chelsea's most iconic restaurants Oriel as restaurant manager and stayed there until its closure in 2009.

Having built up a loyal local clientele Gregg wanted to stay in the area and joined the team at Gallery Mess as restaurant manager, then moving on to event planning for the private dining room. In June 2012 Gregg took over the role of General Manager at Gallery Mess and continues to ensure that the highest levels of service, food quality and event planning are maintained.
