In 1996 a handful of individuals skilfully carved out a culinary events enterprise, turning heads with flare and creativity. The focus, then and now, has always been to create delicious, innovative food and present it beautifully. The ten years that followed saw unrivalled success and growth in the luxury events business. In 2008 rhubarb branched out, adding restaurant locations to its impressive portfolio. This began with restaurant ventures at Heathrow Airport and expanded to iconic London locations such as Royal Albert Hall and most recently, Sky Garden at 20 Fenchurch Street.
2008 Opened the first rhubarb restaurant at Terminal 3, Heathrow Airport in partnership with BAA
2009 Took over the catering at American Airlines first and business class lounges at Heathrow Airport
2009 Opened Gallery Mess, a 192 seater restaurant at the Saatchi Gallery
2010 Opened Bond & Brook at Fenwick, New Bond Street in partnership with Fay Maschler and Simon Davis
2011 Won the catering contract for Royal Albert Hall, managing three restaurants, 13 bars and 142 hospitality boxes
2011 Heston Blumenthal signed an exclusive contract with rhubarb and joined the board of directors
2014 Selected as a culinary partner for first and business class in-flight catering for Emirates flights from Venice, Rome and Milan
2014 Opened Pilots Bar & Kitchen at Terminal 5, Heathrow Airport - a 150 seater restaurant in the luxury aisle at T5
2015 Sky Garden at the top of 20 Fenchurch Street opens with two restaurants and one bar; with unrivalled views of the London skyline
2015 Won catering contract for Goodwood, as of March 2016 rhubarb will transform the Estate's catering operation for its 800,000 yearly guests
Both rhubarb events and restaurant locations share the rhubarb defining character; a bespoke approach, creative food presentation and deliciously different menus.
